Teyss: No kibitz yet? Good game, I thought the pawn-grabber 35...Qxb2 was a mistake but according to the engine it's the following moves: 37...Rd8 making the B move where it wanted to anyhow (better 37...Bc5 played later on); then Black should have given up the exchange to remove the strong B with 38 or 39...Rxe6. After 41.Qxh6 it's over (41...gxh6 42.Bxh6+ Ke8 43.Rxc2).
Didn't understand the pun though.
Jan-13-22  goodevans: An enjoyable and interesting game to play through with some moves from both sides that just jarred.

Prior to <17...Kh7> and <18...Bg6> I liked Black's set up but the trade on g6 left weaknesses that White was able to target. This manoeuvre really didn't feel right.

Having shoved White's Q away from her aggressive post on g4 with 26...h5, why on earth would you let her back there with <27...h4>?

White was enjoying great pressure with little or no counterplay until <32.Bc6> and <33.d5>. Maybe the idea was to close down the a8-h1 diagonal but that was only ever going to be temporary and now Black's back in the game.

The rampage <34...Qb7/xb2> would have been much better conducted with the R. Perhaps Black was concerned about Re8+ but the R on b2 carries much greater threats than that (e.g. 34...Rb8 35.Ba4 Rxb2 36.Re8+? Qxe8! 37.Bxe8 Ne3+) and Black would have been firmly in the driving seat.

Jan-13-22  Ironmanth: Interesting game, actually! Thanks, everyone at chessgames. Y'all stay safe this week and enjoy Tata Steel; bring it!
Jan-13-22  AlicesKnight: <Teyss> Achtung! Donner und Blitzen! <Ironmanth> Agree, interesting, back-and-forth game.

Teyss: <AlicesKnight> If it's referring to the pun, still don't get it.

<goodevans> You perfectly illustrated a discussion we had some time ago about what value added us humans (or rather you) can deliver on top of machines.

OhioChessFan: I'm guessing the pun is "Swine Hunt", as in hunting wild boars. Alternatively, a common German insult is to call someone a Schweinhund, a pig-dog.

OhioChessFan: I agree with <ge> per 27...h4. A fundamental error, pushing a Pawn without a clear purpose.
