Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-25-03  refutor: it's amazing...kieseritsky has a career winning record v. anderssen but he still uncorks stinkers like this
Nov-25-03  ughaibu: Refutor: in tournament games the score was 3-0 to Anderssen with one draw. He also has an overall negative record against Lange but in exhibition games at odds of pawn and move the score was 2-1 to Anderssen, this attitude of Anderssen's makes it difficult to realisticaly assess his strength.

keypusher: That is a very good point about Anderssen, but there is no doubt Kieseritzsky could play far better than he did in his tournament losses.

Honza Cervenka: 12.f4? was a hasty and unfortunate resolution, which got white after excellent 12...e5! into deep troubles. White loses material by force after that. Better options than opening of d-file and lines for black Bishops by 13.fxe5? could have been 13.Nf5 Nxf4 14.Qf3 or 13.f5 Nf4 14.Rxf4 exf4 15.Qf3 with some compensation for Pawn or exchange and plenty of play still ahead. Instead of 12.f4 almost any reasonable move gives white fine play.
Jun-04-07  jokerman: nice game, al the moves made by black in the attack were gaining space. all moves seem so naturall and "easy" i'm impressed :)
Sep-07-08  just a kid: Anderssen should have took up the sicilian more often.
Dec-27-08  whiteshark: <just a kid: Anderssen should have took up the sicilian more often.> Well, http://www.chessgames.com/perl/ches...
Jul-22-09  Knight13: I prefer 11. f4 12. N2f3.
May-17-12  e4 resigns: I bet Lionel was like "What what? Oh drat!"
This is a useful tactic to remember.
