Nov-13-05  kevin86: This is far from an ordinary game;the pieces bounce around like a pinball.

Black resigned because white will steal his bishop.

Sneaky: <dres> John A Curdo? Well done!
Nov-14-05  Dres1: Thanks, Sneaky.. i was pretty pleased with myself
May-14-09  Confuse: This discussion over who posts "first" is hilarious. I hope it continues as long as this website goes : ) On another note, I think this pun was used before..
May-14-09  Notagm: Compare the opening to the Carlsen-Dolmatov game.

An Englishman: Good Evening: After 5.d4!?, the position reminds me of the Philidor Countergambit (1.e4,e5; 2.Nf3,d6; 3.d4,f5).
May-14-09  whiteshark: He's the renner-up.
May-14-09  Calli: <An Englishman> Yes, see Bird vs Morphy, 1858 after the fifth move. In this game White lost a move playing d3 and d4.
May-14-09  gtgloner: Am I missing something here? Why doesn't White play 8. Qh5+? Black's only move after that is 8. ... g6 whereupon 9. Nxg6 looks crushing to me. Anyone see anything I overlooked?
May-14-09  JohnBoy: <gtg: Am I missing something here? Why doesn't White play 8. Qh5+? Black's only move after that is 8. ... g6 whereupon 9. Nxg6 looks crushing to me. Anyone see anything I overlooked?> It seems that 9...Nf6 dampens white's plan.
May-14-09  hedgeh0g: How is it even a "threat" if some random kibitzer announces they're going to ignore you? Who cares? People who need to announce who they ignore are only looking for attention anyway.

Good game, by the way. :P

May-14-09  Gotank: Sheesh, at one point black had both bishops, a knight, as well as a rook all under attack!
May-14-09  kevin86: The pieces really fly in this comical one.
May-14-09  tivrfoa: wow. to crazy game for me xD
May-14-09  mworld: now that was a demolition derby!
May-14-09  Mulyahnto: <Gotank: Sheesh, at one point black had both bishops, a knight, as well as a rook all> <en prise>
May-14-09  WhiteRook48: Black was ruined
May-14-09  CapablancaFan: Crazy game.
May-15-09  alshatranji: What a chaotic game.

offramp: First! It looks as if this is the third outing for this pun: GTO 3.
Aug-08-16  Mendrys: Gawd <offramp>, now I have to put you on my...wait, let's not get into that again.

<mworld: now that was a demolition derby!> An apt description of this game!

Aug-08-16  AlicesKnight: <kevin86>: The pieces really fly in this comical one; <alshatranji>: What a chaotic game; - hard to add to this, the final move has the feel of "let's get this over....".
Aug-08-16  kevin86: white makes the pieces fly!

AylerKupp: <offramp> So I suppose that the most appropriate first kibitz for this game should have been "Third!"
Aug-08-16  morfishine: There were numerous blunders, bloopers, inaccuracies, slips, oversights, gaffes and howlers in this game

Otherwise, its a model of pure chess insight and intuition exhibiting exact positional play leavened with tactical know-how; "Chess Jousting" in the truest sense
