Dec-05-04  Kaspy2: this is one of the 45 games from Korchnois book "my best battles" from 1952-1979. Pachman commented it. In move 37 GM Bisguier resorted to desperate measures...
Mar-07-12  King Death: This is a game that I remember watching with interest. This variation with 8.Qd2 seems to get a space advantage and attacking chances but if White doesn't whip up some play, Black's bishops could be a good thing to have.

Maybe 8...h6 9. Nf3 ed is the best idea instead of the much more common 8...ed played by Korchnoi, I don't think White gets some of the play he does in the 8...ed lines after the knight's kicked back.

About two years ago in an online blitz game, I tried 8.Qd2 for the only time in my life and faced this-seems to me that after 9....exd5, Black is solid enough and the bishop pair are indeed a potentially useful long-term asset.

Jan-12-16  thegoodanarchist: I would definitely resign after 31...b3+

What a hideous position to defend, for White!
