Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-16-06  zev22407: A tough fight.
All guys with Fritz or other chess program did Saidy miss a win in this game?
Mar-16-06  RookFile: I think Fischer defended really well in this game.
May-16-10  wrap99: Was the mistake by White the failure to win the exchange with 38.Nd6+ ?
May-22-10  Catfriend: <wrap99> 38.Nd6+? cxd6 39.Bxd8 (Rxb2 Bxa5; c7 Bxc7) Rc2 40.c7 Kd7, and White has nothing special.

What Dr.Saidy missed was 38.Nxc7+ Bxc7 39.Rxc7 or Bxc7, both troublesome for Black.

May-23-10  wrap99: Thanks, Catfriend.
Feb-25-11  M.D. Wilson: Great endgame by Fischer.
Dec-11-14  anjyplayer: Saidy was clearly winning, he messed up.
Nov-20-15  bobbyperez: The 37th move of Fischer is very-very WRONG! Saidy missed 38.Nxc7+! Bxc7 forced 39.Rxc7(Not 39.Rxb2? Bxa5+ and black can find a draw or even win in this position.) 39...Rb1+!? (39...Nd6? leads to 40.Rd7! Nf7♘ot 40...♘c8?? 41.♖d8+!! and 42.♖xc841.Bb4 Rc2 42.Re7+ Kf8 43.c7 wins for white.
Nov-20-15  bobbyperez: I will continue the variation I typed in my first kibitz is:40.Ke2 Rb2+ 41.Kf1! Rf2+ 42.Kg1! Rf7 43.Bb4+! Kf6[43...Nd6 leads to 44.c7 and any rook or king move except for Kf6 and Rf8 leads to 45.Rd8!]44.Rf8! and the pawn is cannot be stopped. Saidy missed it.
