Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-30-03  Fulkrum: Taking the Bishop off the e1-h4 diagonal was this issue here for Remmelgas (57. Bd2?). Was this just a straight up blunder or was there some threat here?
Mar-30-03  Shock and Awe: I see what you're saying. Suppose White simply played 57.Bf2 instead, and simply thrashed his bishop back and forth (Be1, Bf2, Be1, etc.). How would Keres make progress then?
Mar-30-03  Calli: Evidently, both players felt that Black could play Bxb4 if the B moved off the diagonal.
Mar-30-03  crafty: 57. ♗f2 ♗xb4 58. axb4 ♔xb4 59. ♗h4 ♔c4 60. ♗e7 b4   (eval -1.27; depth 23 ply; 1000M nodes)
Apr-05-03  Fulkrum: Hmmm, that's an interesting idea but I am not sure that 57. ..Bxb4 is a clear win for black.

GrahamClayton: Why did White not return the Knight to e5 with 53.♘e5
