Feb-12-19  zydeco: Good game by Tarrasch. It's not so easy to see the move 22....Bf7.

You just know sooner or late Black is going to play Rxg4. Tarrasch cannot do it now 32...Rxg4 33.Qc8+ and Qxg4.

But it does get played 17 moves later and White resigned.

perfidious: For all the troubles Wolf endured on the dark squares, the struggles over protecting a light square eventually proved his undoing.

The finish illustrates an oft-seen motif: a bad bishop, which nevertheless performs a useful defensive function and is the one piece holding White's game together, is removed by violent means and its disappearance spells ruination.
