Feb-09-05  BlazingArrow56: What a game! Gotta love those endgames where both sides queen!
Apr-11-06  Whitehat1963: Tal gets shot up in the endgame.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Uusi was something of a pest for the Great Tal, with two wins and one loss in their three games. In fact, Uusi was the last player to defeat the former world champion before he began an 86-game unbeaten streak in the early 70s.
Apr-12-21  tympsa: Tal was 19.y. o., but this is not an excuse. Next year he won super strong USSR championship ahead of Bronstein, Spassky, Keres ,Petrosjan and Korchnoi .

Perhaps he just did not see any threat coming from unkown Estonian player who just 2 years ago became Soviet Master of sports ( Tal himself became Soviet Master of sports in 1956 ). It was sports / chess degree one step below grandmaster in USSR . Quite strong degree though, it was not easy to achieve it because chess level in USSR was so strong .

It was suprise to me that Tal played in my home town Tartu . Too bad we dont see such a strong players in Tartu tournaments any more , last year strongest player who played here was with 2200 rating.

Sep-23-22  jerseybob: The play of the black knight in moves 23-48 is awesome, reminiscent of Graig Nettles in game 3 of the 1978 World Series.
