Korora: 30.♗xh7+ and Lupulescu must queen--taking Timoscenko's crow in the process.
Mar-10-25  Allderdice83: Pretty easy one today. A sort of Greek Gift with 30. Bxh7+ Kxh7 31. gxf8=Q and it'll be mate shortly.
Mar-10-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: After 30. Bxh7+ Kxh7 31. gxf8=Q the mate is next... Mondays again?

  takebackok: Away we go Monday, 30. Bxh7+ Forced Kxh7 31. gxf8 (Q) with a mate on g5 or g7 in two or three. Like 31...Kg6 32. Qg7+ Kxh5 or Kf5 33. Qg5#
Mar-10-25  mel gibson: Super easy for Monday.
Mar-10-25  stacase: 30. Nf6+ Didn't work, Soooo . . .
Mar-10-25  saturn2: The king protects the Rf8. 30.BXh7 drags him away and it is B for Q+R. Nxe3 does not help black then.
Mar-10-25  whiteshark: The method of finding the candidate moves quickly produced the expected result.
Mar-10-25  Rosbach: 30. Bxh7+ Kxh7 and the pawn promotes.
Mar-10-25  TheaN: Typical magnet with <30.Bxh7+ Kxh7 31.gxf8Q> and if there would be any reasonable doubt Black has compensation for the queen, <31....Bxe3 32.Qg7#> is unplayable. I stopped analyzing there as if Black has to stop Qg7# he's hopelessly lost, but it's in fact #3 as 31....Bh2+ 32.Kxh2 Kg6 33.Qg7+ Kxh5 34.Qg5# is unstoppable; not required for Monday though.
Mar-10-25  saturn2: 15....Bxf3 was incorrect. Black lost a pawn pawn and then had to retake 16.. Bxd8. 16...Rxd8 would have lost a bishop. Black found slme tricky moves later on but it was too late.

  dorsnikov: I went with 30. R-e8 R x R 31. N-f6 chk. K x P 32. N x R chk. and picks up the Bishop?

Forced line indeed, but White's a pawn down at the end of all that, and the endgame is in fact lost.

Yeah it's striking how a simple switch-up makes Black's live so hard in this game: one of the first things I say when teaching chess, forcing lines first: after 15.e5, White has a fair edge but after 15....Qxd1 (most forcing move) 16.Raxd1 Nxe3 17.Rxe3 Nd7= Black simplifies into an ending where there's not a lot of play left.

Instead, 15....Bxf3? gives White options as two pieces are hanging and Black underestimated the weakness of Be7. 16.Qxd8! (normally this would help Black) forcing 16....Bxd8, as any rook capture allows 17.exf6 +- with still two pieces hanging. 17.Bxc5! ± there's now three pieces hanging whereas Black can save two, so White regains the piece with a pawn interest and better pieces.
