keypusher: Just played through this game in <Why Lasker Matters>. It reminds me of the famous description of Korchnoi's play--he starts by putting his pieces on bad squares, then maneuvers them onto good ones. No wonder Korchnoi admired Lasker so much!
Aug-22-07  Maynard5: This game is interesting in large part because of Lasker's quiet defensive play. While Black is aiming for a breakthrough on the kingside with ... g4, White plays effective defensive moves that parry the threats. After the simplification on moves 21-22, White is left with a superior position, while Black's attack on the g-file reaches an impasse.
Jun-18-13  ughaibu: Why not 35...Bc4?

Jun-18-13  ughaibu: Thanks. I didn't notice 37.Qe5
Apr-17-14  Karpova: According to C. Rosenkranz in the 'St. Petersburger Zeitung', Forgacs pretty soon got into time trouble. This induced Dr. Lasker to play even faster. In the end, Forgacs had 4 min to make 7 moves.
