Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-26-07  slapwa: Doesn't white win more easily by 20. Bxb5+? If
(i) 20. ..., Rxb5 21. Qxg7, Rf8 22. Ng6, Qd6 23. e7 wins immediately, (ii) 20. ..., Ke7 21. Ng6 mate (iii) 20. ..., Kf8 21. Ng6+, Kg8 22. e7, Rxe7 23. Nxe7+ and 24. Qxb8.
Apr-01-08  Samagonka: Substantial material loss on both sides, but white makes it out somehow. Good game.
Sep-16-08  Xeroxx: what a game (of chess)
Apr-09-10  tommy boy: superb game. A mess
Apr-09-10  IT4L1CO: And why not 30 e7+?
Apr-09-10  whiteshark: This is what you'll get when you mess with Erwin.

AylerKupp: Black goes to great lengths in moves 10 – 12 to exchange his good bishop for White's bad bishop. But you have to give Black credit, it's not easy to lose to the Gibbins-Weidenhagen Gambit.

Stonehenge: Vogel was 93 at the time.
Apr-26-11  Nietzowitsch: R.I.P., Gerhard.

fredthebear: <AylerKupp> So why doesn't the game label say Gibbins-Weidenhagen Gambit? Gambit researchers need the proper label used.
