Jun-25-17  kungfufighter888: white move no.5 queen on c4 instead of pawn eat pawn on e5
Jun-25-17  SeanAzarin: Chess 101: slow development in an open game = disaster.
Jun-25-17  RandomVisitor: Black should have tried 9...Qe4+, because after 9...bxc6 white has 10.f3 and a playable game.
Jun-25-17  schnarre: ...Ouch!

Good point. What's the best follow-up for black after 9. Kd2 or Bd3? In either case, cxd4 looks okay to me.

Jun-25-17  ColeTrane: The point is you can't even find your own azz
Jun-25-17  RandomVisitor: <ChessHigherCat>9.Kd2 is bad because of 9...exc3+. 9.Bd3 is bad because of 9...Qxe5+.

After 9...Qe4+ white must play 10.Be3 which is bad. If instead 10.Kd2 is met by 10...exc3+ which is bad.

White could just resign...

That was a really good find, black has "a playable game" is the understatement of the year :-)

I think you mean 9...dxc3+, which is what I meant, too.

<Morfishine> What's the point in asking what's the point? If other people find it interesting, it's interesting. Is a game totally uninteresting and unworthy of comment just because the players aren't GMs or what?

Jun-26-17  kevin86: White queen diverted, black queen mates!
