Sep-13-10  cehertan: A mysterious finish since on ...Re2? 41.a5 Be3 42.Nxa7! should be winning. 40...Be3 is better but white seems all right. Embarrassingly I can't recall, but I'm assuming my flag fell in the final position. I was impressed with Simon's sharp play, but with spirited defense I seemed to have slipped out. I was playing for the IM title in this tournament, but unfortunately bombed after a decent start.
Jun-29-16  Robert Bloch: Thank you for making the correction I requested. For some strange reason Peter Simon was given credit for this game when in reality it was played by me, Paul Simon. Charles' flag fell on the 40th move and, therefore, he lost on time according to F.I.D.E. rules. I still remember how he accepted his undeserved fate with such dignity, a true gentleman! 35. ...., Bc3? was an error made in Charles' time trouble. Either 35. ...., Bb6 or 35. ...., f3 would have been much better. Incidentally, the moves of our game is given up to move 22 in Nunn and Burgess' book "The Main Line King's Indian" (published 1996) on page 291, note b. Neither of us is given credit for having played the game in 1985.

No surprise there; Charlie's behaviour at the board was always correct, even in defeat--not that I often managed to make him taste of that bitter cup (twice in twelve or so games).

Jun-30-16  posoo: u hav to COMPLEAT da move in order to get da extra time. it is NO DIFRUNT than da racing gams at da arcade in Tampa. EXTRA TIME.

Let us NOT give da man creddit for LOOZING fair and square and then RUBBING HIS CHIN and saying I LOST.
