Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-05-10  310metaltrader: why resign?
Jan-06-10  Sem: Quite. After e.g. 17. ...Qf7, threatening to take the King's Bishop, I see no immediate win for White.
Jan-06-10  tonsillolith: What about <17...Qf7 18. d7 Bxd7 19. Bxc5+ Kg8 20. Ng5>? That looks pretty bad for Black.
Jan-06-10  dhotts: <tonsillolith : What about <17...Qf7 18. d7 Bxd7 19. Bxc5+ Kg8 20. Ng5>? That looks pretty bad for Black.>

Now 20...Qf5! and White is in trouble with both his bishops!

Jan-06-10  tonsillolith: If 20...Qf5!, then 21. Rd5!! and Black is again the one in trouble, for if 21...Qxc2, then 22. Bb3! or 22. Rxd7 Qxc4 23. Qe3
Feb-03-10  ChesterTheJester: Black's position is undoubtedly resignable; White has a mass of winning ideas. axb5 and Be2 and he is material up in a great position, Bxc5 threatening d7+ and a new Queen is possible in many lines, moves like Nxc5 and f5 are potential threats also. Black's position is just utterly unpleasant to defend! A great win for Hugh :)
