Feb-03-10  tranquilsimplicity: WOW! The sparks are still flying! Not only have I now resumed playing the Kings Gambit Nf3 (as I now employ the Bishop variation), but Bob Eames has also inspired me to play the Barmen Defense against the Alapin Sicilian. An affable and charismatic guy to speak with, a Chess Romantic and one of the Masters that make Hastings Chess Congress a tournament worth frequenting!!
Oct-26-10  Aebalc: Wow is right. After whites 17th move look at the mess black is in. four pieces still on their home squares, a knight on the edge of the board and the king hopelessly in the center. At the same time white controls the open files has a knight on e4 and his king in no immediate danger. I'd call that compensation for the knight he is down.

Feb-21-14  tranquilsimplicity: Thank you GrahamClayton. However the website seems to be GM Simon William's.
