  FSR: All Shook Up.
Jan-05-24  Czx: Good one. Nice and dry.
Jan-05-24  goodevans: Am okay pun for an okay game. Neither are bad but <FSR> has done better on both counts in the past.

Black was outplayed from the outset and <10...Bf6?> was simply the wrong piece - after 10...Nf6 White wouldn't have been able to continue the attack with 11.e5 Nxd4 12.Qd5 as in the game.

After that, Black was pretty much lost but started to play better and put up some resistance. Was this an early start and wasn't he properly focused until he'd finished his caramel latte?

perfidious: And he got there, over eleven years on.

FSR: A personal record for me, since I submitted this pun 11 years, 3 months, and 6 days ago. <Garech> may hold the absolute record for Martin Perez vs Catalan, 1981, which he may have submitted 11 years, 10 months, and 7 days before it became GOTD.

Teyss: Elvis's immortal! Not the player, the singer. Not the possessive, the verb.

So are FSR's puns.

  fredthebear: Come hold me tight,
Kiss me my darling,
Be mine tonight.

Tomorrow will be too late...

This game of chess was in submission rather early at 10...Bf6?

Jan-21-24  Czx: And the award for supercilious critic goes to... goodevans!

perfidious: <goodevans> is often humorous, nearly always informative and quite decent, all while posting with candour.

Superciliousness is not part of his repertoire.
