Sep-10-10  ajile: They need to play this out. White should do it slow and get 4 queens for the fans.
Sep-10-10  uscfratingmybyear: 37..ktxd5 ?
Sep-10-10  ajile: <Kazzak: Who made that bad choice in the opening?>

naka and ..c6

Sep-10-10  whiteshark: <Ceegee> How about a more 'adult' [G-raw] Carlsen photo in the dancing rook
Sep-10-10  hedgeh0g: That dancing rook looks like it has Down Syndrome.
Sep-10-10  Kazzak: < ajile: <Kazzak: Who made that bad choice in the opening?>

naka and ..c6>

Naka still up to his tricks. Though he's saying the bad move was at move 12 ... :-)

Sep-10-10  Marmot PFL: Didn't look like any of the 3 had ever played the King's Indian before. Maybe they should have picked a simpler opening.

Annie K.: Quit putting down <my> rook, guys. :p
Sep-10-10  ajile: <whiteshark: <Ceegee> How about a more 'adult' [G-raw] Carlsen photo in the dancing rook>

I could make a "gangsta" mugshot gif but it probably would never get used.

Domdaniel: Magnus speaks better English than most English speakers.
Sep-10-10  Kazzak: Liv Tyler wondering what the hell? Why is he speaking code?
Sep-10-10  Nightranger: < Magnus speaks better English than most English speakers. >

BINGO!

chessgames.com: <How about a more 'adult' [G-raw] Carlsen photo in the dancing rook> That would have been humorous; we actually thought of making one but there was no guarantee we'd ever get a chance to show it.

Incidentally, the G-raw photo of Carlsen to the left of the board will revert to our normal one after this game.

Sep-10-10  ajile: 9..c6 which was Naka's move has a poor record according to the database.

Opening Explorer

The move just doesn't make sense. Why open lines where your opponent has superior forces? Illogical.

Sep-10-10  Rolfo: Lucky Carlsen :)
Sep-10-10  ganso: Naka and Magnus seemed to think that the serious mistake was the cxd that followed...
Sep-10-10  rapidcitychess: <ajile:: <whiteshark: <Ceegee> How about a more 'adult' [G-raw] Carlsen photo in the dancing rook>

I could make a "gangsta" mugshot gif but it probably would never get used.> I would use that for my avatar!

Sep-10-10  manakin: Anyone's got a clue what results do Carlsen have against Gelfand in classical time controls?
Sep-10-10  acirce: <Anyone's got a clue what results do Carlsen have against Gelfand in classical time controls?>

Their only decisive game was a win for Gelfand. I count to 8 draws.

Sep-10-10  Ezzy: I can't ever see Carlsen being seriously challenged in that format. A complete disaster.
Sep-10-10  manakin: Thanks.
Sep-10-10  SamAtoms1980: Nice pictures. The World looks like some kind of Protoss entity out of Starcraft II. Carlsen looks like a hardened felon.

Just by looking at the pictures, I would have thought this would be no contest. I guess I would have been right.

How about next time, we pit Carlsen against the Zerg Swarm and see how he does.

Sep-10-10  rapidcitychess: That was an interesting game. One mistake and BOOM!!
Sep-10-10  BobCrisp: That picture of Carlsen is absurd.
Sep-10-10  rapidcitychess: The rook one is definitely, um, interesting.
