HeMateMe: I hope not. Maybe he could replace Wesley So, at Ta Ta?

Game Collection: PINS AGAINST UNDEFENDED PIECES (UPMP) 28 ... c7-c6?? 29 Re1xe4! d6-knght pinned against undef d8-rook

Aug-23-13  Maatalkko: <HeMateMe> He ought to be invited to the B section. After winning that tournament and gaining points, he can move up to the A section on merit, like real elite players do.
Aug-23-13  Shams: <Maatalkko> If he seeded directly into the 'B' group, he can't match Caruana's record of winning the 'C' and 'B' groups in successive years. Let him earn his stripes, I say.

He just did.

Aug-23-13  Maatalkko: <Shams> I agree with <notyetagm> that Wei Yi is more fit for the B group than the C group. However, if he was invited to C group competition, it would still be a good opportunity and I'm sure he would clean up there.
Aug-23-13  haydn20: The Bishop is amusingly helpless against the four Pawns!

Why would you want someone who just beat Nepo and Shirov in World Championship qualifier games, and who drew 2 classical games against World Top 10 Mamedyarov, to waste his time beating up all those Dutch weakies in the C group???
