Mar-07-14  rogl: This is obviously wrong. The correct result is 1-0. Poor Daria, she really crumbled here. From a completely winning position to a lost one. I'm so happy that never happened to me...

<rogl: ... From a completely winning position to a lost one. I'm so happy that never happened to me...>

Last Saturday I was playing G/30 in a rated game.

I was up by a whole rook(!)with Black against a higher-rated opponent, <MISSED A CHECK> (♕c1-c4+ ) that brought the enemy queen into contact with a <LOOSE SQUARE NEAR MY KING/FOCAL POINT>, and had to resign because I could not stop mate (... ♔g8-g7/f8 ♕c4-f7#).

Up by a rook and I get f***ing checkmated. :-(

perfidious: <rogl> If that never happened to you, it means you either did not play much, or are the greatest player in history at converting an advantage.
Mar-07-14  rogl: You did notice the ..., right?

perfidious: <rogl> Never happened to me, either.
Mar-07-14  haydn20: Strangely enough it never happened to me either, so I just can't understand why my rating isn't higher.

Mar-07-14  notyetagm: <ious: <rogl> and <haydn20> Turrble, innit?>

Bunch of liars on <CG.COM>. :-)

At least I am honest about my chessboard incompetence.

Mar-09-14  gaviero55: It always happens to me against people 400 points stronger!
May-01-14  sombreronegro: You never have to suffer blundering in a winning position;look to make a queen sac at the earliest opportunity.
