Mar-12-14  talwnbe4: 17.. Rxc3!! is a beautiful sac that leads to advantage no matter how white responds.
Mar-12-14  haydn20: What a butt-kicking by Black. Some posters seem to believe that MC doesn't play tactics. Hmmm...

perfidious: <haydn20> Even Smyslov once angrily referred to the young Tal's style as a bag of tricks.

It is ever so much easier to characterise a player in some fashion or other than to be make efforts at objectivity--those require hard work.

Mar-12-14  haydn20: As I played thru the game, I thought 16. b5!? looked a little dicey. Just 16. bxa5 Bxa3 17. Ra1 Bd6 and White has a nice game. As so often, MC dives into the murky waters of an offbeat variation with 9...Bb4 and it's the opponent who loses his way. BTW <perfidious> good comment.
Mar-12-14  Everett: If I were playing Carlsen I would start by not allowing him to pin my knights. He is giving everyone the bishop pair and then proving that they aren't much of an advantage.
Mar-19-14  peristilo: It's amazing that some (a few) of Magnus moves are stronger than Houdini's first choices.
Mar-19-14  geigermuller: MC won with incredible ease against a 2645 player!
May-15-14  fndmiranda: 26...Nd5
Ouch
