fredthebear: Katz's exchange sacrifice 11...RxBf4 accepted allows the Black rocking horse to take full advantage of the exposed White king. Reshevsky was 11 years old.

Not many eleven-year-olds give simultaneous chess exhibitions.

Dec-09-22  YoungEd: It looked to me, and Stockfish agreed, that 14. Rd1 would have been better than 14. O-O, but Black would have the advantage anyway. Good game by Black!
Dec-09-22  goodevans: Child chess prodigy blunders against a pretty strong opponent. Pretty strong opponent fails to reciprocate.

The pun is slightly better than the game but that says more about the game than the pun.

Dec-09-22  JohnBoy: The Budapest is loaded with these traps.

And, <fred>, the kid was 10.

Check It Out: I just returned from Budapest, and it is loaded with traps. Fortunately, I didn't fall into any of them like Mr. Reshevsky.

An Englishman: Good Evening: The Budapest has so many neat traps; pity the opening itself is not quite sound.
Dec-09-22  Cheapo by the Dozen: Alternative pun:

The Rocking Horse Winner.

But that pun ideally would be saved for a game in which greed is punished.

GrahamClayton: "By taking the famous boy prodigy 'out of the books', Samuel Katz, secretary of the Manhattan Chess Club, succeeded in defeating Samuel Reshevsky in the latter's first simultaneous chess exhibition since his return from the West at the Jewish Center of New York.

Little Sammy was opposed by a team of six players and made a score of 4 wins, one and the loss aforesaid. Leon Zolotkoff drew his game. Those who lost were Louis Ogus, Dr L Blan, BB Hoffmand and Frank Harris. The referee was Robert Raubitschek. Judge Otto Rosalsky was one of the many interested spectators."
