Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-18-16  et1: Kd5 is a horrible move but it just shows that mistakes happen to the best.
Jun-18-16  Reisswolf: Nakamura finally wins a game against Carlsen. I wonder if this will open the floodgates.
Jun-18-16  Sleeping kitten: Nakamura have already won rapid and blitz games against Carlsen.

MissScarlett: At this rate, Naka will win his first classical game against Magnus in 2022, and defeat him in a world championship match in 2028.
Jun-18-16  SirRuthless: Jokes aside. Good for Nakamura to notch his first win against magnus in several years.Any real fan of chess should be happy to see that there is no magic spells and anyone can beat anyone.

He is having a rough rapid tournament but he still can't seem to stop smiling and it goes back to this.

Domdaniel: Back in the 1950s, Isaac Lipnitsky probed the Ragozin Variation in great detail. Quality Chess republished his great book - minus much of the Ragozin material, sadly - as 'Questions of Modern Chess Theory'.

Maybe Carlsen should take a look.

ajk68: What was Carlsen thinking with the exchanges on d5? Was this just a grade-school level blunder?
Jun-20-16  john barleycorn: < ajk68: What was Carlsen thinking ...>

Ask #Carlsen

Jun-28-16  poulh: What is the continuation?
Jun-28-16  beenthere240: black is a piece down with no prospects. What sort of "continuation" would you expect? "I resign" is pretty accurate. 11...Nxd5? is the sort of mistake you're warned about in books for beginners.
Jun-28-16  Absentee: <ajk68: What was Carlsen thinking with the exchanges on d5? Was this just a grade-school level blunder?>

I guess Carlsen believed he had an attack on the kingside, but I can't see how he thought it would play out.

Jun-28-16  poulh: OK, it was early, and I wasn't quite awake.
Oct-14-20  Messiah: What an amateurish blunder! What a colossal breakdown in 17 moves! I LOVE this game!
