Sep-23-21  johnlspouge: Stockfish_14053109_x64 evaluates <21.f3> at -3.31 at 29/53-

Rybka_2.3.2a_x64 evaluates <21.f3> at -1.93 at 18.

Both engines prefer 21.Kf1, but both evaluate the position after 20...exd6 at at less than -1.75.

perfidious: <jls>, playing my role of professional sceptic to the hilt as I am wont to do, I looked at the position after Idani's 20th move and asked myself why, despite White's large material advantage, he should stand clearly worse.

Without analysing to any depth, it is clear he is well behind in development and has no good way to get the queenside pieces out of the box while seeing his king safe, a recurring theme as the game actually went.

Oct-12-23  Saniyat24: Yi pee ki yay Idani...!
Sep-23-24  johnlspouge: <perfidious>, I checked with a 6 second analysis by Stockfish 11 v064 for sudden changes, and Stockfish fingers 17.h3 as the lemon. The move changes the evaluation from +0.75 (17.Nd2) to -3.26, so it supports your thesis of developing the Q-side.
