An Englishman: Good Morning: All right, Nakamura has created pawn weaknesses at f6 and h5; next step, can he attack or otherwise exploit them? Frankly, my poor old patzer eyes cannot see a way in at this time. How will the White King invade?
Jun-12-17  JimNorCal: Anand and Giri have pleasant positions to grind. This game still looks dead but Naka can play on without risk
Jun-12-17  Ulhumbrus: 40 Kd2 takes a step towards Kb6 and Kxb7

HeMateMe: if white can play b4 he might be able to break into the black camp.

offramp: Sometimes cg.com switches to a new game quickly and sometimes it takes an hour. Hopefully today will be quick. What a total massive disaster today's game was. A case of Ne Touche Pas à mon toot toot.

offramp: It is massively annoying. The game has been over for an hour and it just sits here, like a dead deer on a hood, while other games are flickering to and fro with their merry moves.

offramp: Yeah I know but I do not want to go to chessbomb. My vision of the chessgames bureau is some guys lying flat on sofas surrounded by tobacco smoke, in fact smoke everywhere, and a creaky old steampunk monitor barking out messages which are all ignored.
Jun-12-17  Jambow: Yes Aronian is a firm believer in the old adage passed pawns must be pushed. He has the best running backs and receivers on the field.

Nice to Lev back on his game and that Kramnik has the class to face the music after a loss.

Jun-12-17  Jambow: Interesting position neither player could even deliberately blunder to allow the other player to win because nobody can penetrate...
Jun-12-17  Ulhumbrus: One question is whether there was a way for White to overburden the defensive resources available to Black.

You are right. I don't think this site gives a tinker's cuss. If things don't change tomorrow I am leaving this site's live transmissions for good - and I know a lot of people will love that.

tamar: chessbomb is a creepy old warehouse with consoles flashing, and hooligans roaming around right out of Philip K. Dick novel.

Jun-12-17  SuperPatzer77: No draw offers are allowed in this tourney. Both players had to use threefold repetition instead of agreed draw.

Some USCF rules for the tourneys say no draw offers are allowed before move 30.
