Jun-22-17  epistle: Sexual excitement during the game does not help
Jun-22-17  beenthere240: 28. Bxh6!? was a sporting try since 29. Nc7 appears to create a problems for Black, and indeed it looked as if White was regaining the piece. However, Carlsen had evidently seen a move or two deeper into the position.

It worked like a charm! Game Collection: Nina Myers' collected Sogasms

Jun-22-17  dunamisvpm: GM Wes missed the correct reply on GM Magnus blunder on move 35... Ne8? Correct reply should be 36. Nf6. If 36... Qxf6 then 37. Qxe8 followed by 38. Rg3+
Jun-22-17  dunamisvpm: Lucky Magnus
Jun-22-17  dunamisvpm: 36.Nf6+ is a forced move missed by GM So... GM Carlsen escaped here with a lucky win

Well said. In fact, I've been told Carlsen has never won a game in his entire life without his opponent making a mistake. So maybe you should post "lucky win" on every one of Carlsen's wins in the database.

Of course a crazy person or a Carlsen supporter might claim that So was lucky Carlsen played 35....Ne8 instead of one of several possible moves that would have kept Black's winning advantage.

pure blasphemy.

Jun-22-17  WorstPlayerEver: Yeah and the guy is so ruled by his insecurity that he needs 3 posts for his crapperz.

Jun-22-17  tuttifrutty: Magnus was lucky...that's the truth. No questions asked. Wesley is now close to perfection on how to beat Magnus...just a little more finesse and Carlsen is done for good. Mark my word...I told you before and I am going to tell you again. Wesley will reign supreme...soon.
Jun-22-17  gokusano: Shut up! That's all I can say.
Jun-22-17  SirRuthless: <tuttifrutty>Let's not get carried away here. I agree that in classical Wesley is playing top chess but in Rapid Carlsen has no equals. The distance between him and number two is 100 points. There is no shame in losing to him with black in a rapid game.
Jun-23-17  jerry crus: Just wow he almost got him!
Jun-23-17  jerry crus: The queen side attack and king side sacrifice are fun to watch, magnus defense is crumbling until wesley lost steam
Jun-23-17  Mirovsk: Guys, So blundered doing 28.h6
Jun-23-17  Jambow: No doubt Magnus is very lucky, he could have been born with much less natural chess talent than he was, or took up lawn darts you just never know.

I like it!

Jun-23-17  Nonnus: When a player misses a good move it does not indicate luck of the other player but the severe limitations of the mental faculties of the player who missed the move.

Weak players, for example, are those who miss good moves mostly all the time. They lose, not because their opponents were "lucky", but because their brains are not up to the task of finding good moves.

Jun-23-17  gokusano: So true, the weaker player is more prone to commit bad moves, rule#1.
Jun-23-17  wordfunph: weak player is a customer of strong player.
Jun-23-17  gokusano: Sadness in their faces, the order of the day. Still, Magnus reigns!
