Stonehenge: Carlsen has 5.5/8 and Caruana 6/8.
Oct-19-19  Kurakotsaba: MC will 💪💪💪💪💪💪 his way in this game, and the two will remain a half point separated in the standings.
Oct-19-19  Kurakotsaba: MC 💪💪💪💪 over FC. And if things are even stiff end, will go down to finger wrestling like this🤞✊👊🤛🤜
Oct-19-19  Ulhumbrus: White's pawns are broken and Black has not conceded the bishop pair. White has more space. It remains to be seen whether White can make his greater space count and whether Black can make White's broken pawns count.

keypusher: White has not scored too well from here (9.bxc3) per OE: +3-3=3.
Oct-19-19  Messiah: C'mon, Caru, TROUNCE the boy!!!!
Oct-19-19  Pedro Fernandez: Good day guys! A few days ago Fabiano's Afro disappeared, so he looks younger. This English opening variation, without presence of knights, is highly strategic IMO.

  keypusher: <Messiah: C'mon, Caru, TROUNCE the boy!!!!>

I'm trying to think how miserable I'd have to be to (1) fervently wish for a chess player to lose (2) feel obligated to post my wish in public for all to see before every single game he played. Miserable enough to stick my head in the oven and turn on the gas, I think.

Oct-19-19  goldenbear: I like 10.c5 here (10.b6 11.Bc4 O-O 12.O-O bxc5, for example). I like White's position.
Oct-19-19  goldenbear: Actually, I blundered a rook. I just woke up...

keypusher: Queenside castling?! Did not see that coming.
Oct-19-19  Messiah: <keypusher: Queenside castling?! Did not see that coming.>

I guess it is a great recipe for getting trounced.

Oct-19-19  WaxTadpole: First of all, holy jumping cats.

What about Rb8 and b5 here?

Oct-19-19  Pedro Fernandez: Not problem <goldenbear>. 10.Bf4 seems a very strong move, I think avoiding 10...Rb8, exerting a strong pressure over the diagonal h2-b8 combined with white a-rook on d1-square. But that white long castling seems to me a bit dangerous for white.
Oct-19-19  Ulhumbrus: 12...Rb8 unpins the b7 pawn and supports the thrust ...b5
Oct-19-19  Taxman: Looking at the clock times, I imagine that this is home preparation by MC. It seems unlikely that he'd go for something as apparently risky as Q-side castling without studying it carefully at home.
Oct-19-19  Pedro Fernandez: Tha's right <Taxman>, however look at that now the black move ...Rb8 is a good one.
Oct-19-19  devere: Clever defense by Fab. So far he's making lemonade out of a lemon.

moronovich: Both kings are in potential danger.
Quite a position we have here.
Oct-19-19  Pedro Fernandez: I liked 16...Bb6!? (instead of 16...Rfe8), and if 17.Bg5, then 17...Bxe3.

Oct-19-19  AdolfoAugusto: Go all the way Magnus, no draws, TROUNCE (the other) boy!

;)

Oct-19-19  beenthere240: This could end quickly with a perpetual check.
Oct-19-19  devere: 17.Qxa7 Ra8 18.Qxb7 Bxc3+ 19.Kxc3 Qc5+ leads to a draw.
