Dec-05-20  lentil: chessgames: 16 W to move might be a good Tuesday or Wednesday puzzle.
Mar-10-21  bismuth: 16.Na5, brilliant!!!

Phony Benoni: Seeing that White was rated some 600 points lower than Black, I might have preferred <The Mouse that Loard>.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Odd position after 5...d4--it looks like an Albin Counter Gambit without Black's pawn sacrifice. The fact that it remains on it original square, blocking the Bf8, seems like a bit of a problem.

  Dionysius1: yep, <bismuth> 16.Na5 beautiful!
Apr-14-21  Brenin: Of mouse and Men. Rather than the natural-looking 15 ... b6, 15 ... b5 would have saved Black's Q after 16 Qxb5 Qxb5 17 Bxb5, but would have left Black a P down with an uncomfortable position.
Apr-14-21  Affects153: I quite enjoy these decisive fast games of no escape. How do I find an avatar as you all? premium membership?

Yes. And in addition to getting to display an avatar below your user name, you get to take advantage of additional functionality such as the Opening Explorer and Search Kibitzing for a very nominal fee/year. Well worth it IMO.

AylerKupp: <<Affects153> Is Nigel Short User: An Englishman ?

No, Nigel Short's user forum is: User: nigel short. You can find out by guessing (I did) what his user name might be (duh, "Nigel Short"). Then click on your user name in any of your posts and you will be sent to your user forum. Then in the 'View another user profile box:" just enter "Nigel Short").

Unfortunately the user profile name search you enter is rather unforgiving (get used to it) so while "Nigel Short" will get you to his user forum, "NigelShort" won't. You'll get the message 'Sorry, there is no such user "nigelshort" on record."

And note, Nigel Short's <user forum> is different than Nigel Short's <player profile page> (Nigel Short), one of which is typically available for the top players, including many that have long since passed away like "Emanuel Lasker" and "Paul Morphy" . You can Short's user profile by entering "Nigel Short" in the 'SEARCH OVER 991,000 CHESS GAMES' box on the home page. Again, it's unforgiving, entering "NigelShort", "EmanuelLasker", and "PaulMorphy" won't work. Fortunately, at least the search function is not case sensitive.

Who knows? Maybe in addition to your user forum you might someday have your own player profile page here. Keep working at it!

Apr-14-21  Affects153: User: AylerKupp Thank you kindly
