May-13-24  jffun1958: 27.Be7+ Nxe7 28.Rd6#
May-13-24  King.Arthur.Brazil: It doesn't seem "so easy" LOL 27. Be7+ Nxe7 28. Rd6#... I love Mondays.
May-13-24  Mayankk: I first thought 27 Be5+ Nxe5 28 Qxe5+ should win. But it doesn't lead to an immediate mate and so I kept looking.

I then saw 27 Be7+ Nxe7 28 Rf4+ forking Black King and Queen. Looked winning after 28 ... Qxf4 29 gxf4 with 30 Qe5+ or 30 Qa1+ next.

Rather humbling to then realise 27 Be7+ Nxe7 28 Rd6# is an immediate mate. A case of too many options perhaps.

May-13-24  mel gibson: Easy peasy Mondays. LOL

An Englishman: Good Evening: Two Rooks mating a King on the edge of the board? No big deal. Two Rooks mating a King on f6? Now that ranks as a bit strange.
May-13-24  saturn2: 27. Be7 Nxe7 came quickly. Then I tried for some moments to mate with the queen but finally I found 28.Rd6
May-13-24  Saniyat24: Meng Kong's King is in the Wong place...!

May-13-24  Lloyd Gross: Mayankk: <I first thought 27 Be5+ Nxe5 28 Qxe5+ should win.> Me too. So after the bishop sacrifice 27. Be7 Nxe7 I missed a mate in one.
May-13-24  newzild: Good Monday puzzle - a mate in two that takes a little bit of time to figure out because there are many candidate moves.

I'm enjoying the move away from obvious queen sacs.

May-13-24  Lambda: I went for 27.Rf4+ Nxf4 28.Qe5+ Kg6 29.Qf5+ Kh6 30.Bxf4+ g5 31.Bxg5+ Kg7 32.Qxf3 thinking "seems more like a Tuesday solution, but it works".

May-13-24  buckmeister: Like Lambda I too found a solution starting Rf4: 27. Rf4+ Nxf4 28. Qe5+ Kg6 29. Qf5+ Kh6 30. Bxf4+ Qxf4 31. Qh5# OTB the first forcing mate is best, though not as elegant.
May-13-24  Steve Holloway: I only saw Rf4+ which mates a few moves later
