 | | OhioChessFan: How about them Colts? |
Feb-08-07 | | shr0pshire: <AgentRgent> That is okay, maybe you aren't aware some of the things that team white said about our choice of openings at the very early stages of the game on public pages of chessgames (not the private team pages). And <AgentRgent> maybe you didn't read above my comment a few lines to see the sarcastic and condescending jabs your teammates had to say about me personally (not team black as a whole). Thanks for your feedback about my post, but I think you are suffering from selective vision when it comes to negative remarks from your own team. |

 | | WannaBe: I say the Colts don't repeat next year. They'll suffer from the championship let down bug that have bitten the last 5 (or is it 6??) Super Bowl Championship teams. |
Feb-08-07 | | AgentRgent: <Shr0pshire:> I see a very gracious post by yourself (Feb-06-07). Followed by a gracious reply from Eyal (Feb-07-07).
Then I see you say it's "insulting" that we declined the draw offer (Feb-08-07). Which is the point where things turned ugly.
I don't agree that it is "insulting" for us to have declined the draw. I also don't agree with the responses that comment drew, but your next post is really the one I think is beneath you ("I guess if you aren't good enough" etc.) Obviously the comments made at the start of the game didn't bother you on the 6th, so I'm not sure they're really a valid excuse for your statments on the 8th. |
Feb-08-07 | | AgentRgent: <WannaBe: I say the Colts don't repeat next year. They'll suffer from the championship let down bug that have bitten the last 5 (or is it 6??) Super Bowl Championship teams.> You mean the Free Agency bug? Very probable. |

Feb-08-07 | | Artar1: <shr0pshire:>
Maybe you're taking this game a little too personally? <shr0pshire: <Achieve> Hi, how are you doing? I haven't been around too much on the site other than the team game challenge. That is taking up a lot of my chess time. Since I am a proud member of team black and we are playing the obscure St. George opening I am doing a lot of research for that.> The only insults I have seen are from you. |
Feb-08-07 | | shr0pshire: <AgentRgent> To each his own. As they are opening up the forums after the game you will see that I vented privately in our team forum after the initial comments were made by some members on <Team White>. And you can continue to lambast me for my comments, and have blind loyalty to your team while they make the same kind of remarks, that is your perogative. I stand by my initial remarks though that I find it insulting to decline our draw offer. And if your team had to rally and attack me personally over that, then I think you guys must have some problems on your side. <Artar1> Pleased to make your acquaintance. But by the quoted text I don't see how I am taking it personally. I did put a lot of research into the opening that a few people from team white publicly ridiculed (apart from the team forums) which in my opinion started this whole thing. But I am glad that you are looking back to past comments. Perhaps you and <AgentRgent> should look back to see some of the things your team said before you jump all over me. Besides the stuff you quoted weren't even insults. |
Feb-08-07 | | twinlark: Can't we just all have a big group hug and sing a few and kumbayars?
aaaauuuummmmmm.......
Feb-08-07 | | Artar1: shr0pshire:
I spent an hour and a half searching for the insults made by the White Team. I used "Team Black," "Team White," "St. George," and "a6" as my search criteria, but to no avail. Maybe you can help me out and repost them here? I also searched my correspondence database and found an interesting St. George Defense game between two 2400-rated CC players. The game ended in a draw. |
Feb-08-07 | | shr0pshire: <Artar1> I am not going to rehash them here. There are already several people from your team either calling me names or are saying that I started this conflict. Honestly, I don't want anymore attention out of this and my only intention was to tell the white team that I found it insulting that they declined our draw. I would suggest you read <Team Black's> team forum after it opens up after the game ends. Some of the things were discussed by our team there. |

Feb-09-07 | | Archives: Oh, maybe you were meaning that your team talked about the negative comments our team members allegedly made against your team. |
Feb-09-07 | | Archives: Either way, I myself do not see how declining a draw offer was insulting. =) |
Feb-09-07 | | kellmano: Ha ha ha ha. The worst qualities of chess players on display! Who really cares? We offer a draw, they don't accept it. Perfectly reasonable behaviour from both sides. |

Feb-09-07 | | Robin01: A talking horse!
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mr. Ed. Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mr. Ed.
People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day
But Mister Ed will never speak unless he has something to say. A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this.
I am Mister Ed.

Feb-09-07 | | AgentRgent: <shr0pshire: And you can continue to lambast me for my comments> If you think I was "lambast"ing you, then any further discussion is pointless. You're being overly sensetive and I don't think any text I write will stop you from finding offense if you're looking hard enough. Instead let me just say, Thank you for the game, and your team's choice of opening which made the game interesting from the start. Regardless of how or when the game ends.. Bravo! |
Feb-09-07 | | Nightranger: < Robin01 > This goes waaaayyyyyyy back. |
Feb-10-07 | | mack: You know, after all this we'd better hold the bloody draw. |
Feb-10-07
 | | OhioChessFan: Draw?! We're playing for a win, Mack. |
Feb-10-07 | | shr0pshire: Now that we know the position isn't drawn we are playing for a win. :) |
Feb-10-07 | | twinlark: Yeah <mack>, what are you thinking? White's game has been in its last throes since their dubious first move. |
Feb-11-07 | | AugustAle: <AgentRgent:Instead let me just say, Thank you for the game, and your team's choice of opening which made the game interesting from the start. Regardless of how or when the game ends.. Bravo!> Dittos. It might be nice to have a civil discussion on the other side of this game. btw like to have your lobbying skills redisplayed back at yman pretty soon, its about that time. |
Feb-13-07 | | WarmasterKron: <twinlark> Second move, surely? Nothing wrong with 1.e4, but as any fule no, the best response to 1...a6 is 2.f4! |
Feb-13-07 | | shr0pshire: <WarmasterKron> We anticipated 2. f4 and we had some analysis on that. When our forum opens you can read our analysis. We weren't too concerned about that possibility. |
