Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-23-24  stone free or die: The good Captain won a 33b simul game against Reti on April 3, 1923 - Reti's only loss (5 draws - Mrs. Holloway, J. Keeble, S. Hussain, H.O. Boger and H.S. Cox).

Presumably this was one of the Margate extra events.

Bolland's win involved an "ingenious swindle", though his was already winning.

The Captain, Black, played 1...Rd7

Reti fell into the trap after 2.Bxb6 then 2...Nd4 is crushing.

Jan-23-24  stone free or die: I should mention that White has a drawing move in the diagram.
