FIDE Master (2015); International Master (2017). He won the British Under-18 championship in 2014, aged 15, and won it again in 2017. In 2021 he became the British Under-21 champion.

He qualified for World Cup (2021) he played Vadim Zvjaginsev in the first round. Haria defeated Zvjaginsev in their first game, lost the second but won the two rapid tiebreak games to advance to the second round. In that round he faced Etienne Bacrot, who as one of the 50 highest-ranked players in the tournament had received a bye in the first round. Bacrot won the first game but Haria struck back in the second to send the match to another tiebreak. Haria eventually lost the tie 2.5-1.5. At the European Team Championship (2021) his score was 3.5/7.
