EDGARS KRUMINS
(born Aug-21-1909, 115 years old) Latvia

[what is this?]

Edgars Krūmiņลก was born in Riga, Latvia on August 21, 1909. It is not currently known when he died. Krumins graduated from Riga Secondary School No. 2, the first school in Riga to offer all instruction in the Latvian language. From 1929 to 1935 he studied at the Faculty of Mathematics in the University of Latvia, and later became a mathematics teacher at Cesvaine High School. He joined the Riga Chess Club and quickly proved a very strong player. He finished 3rd at the 1934 Latvian championship, behind Fricis Apsenieks and Vladimir Petrov . Since the top two finishers already had the Latvian master title, Krumins was also awarded the master title. At the 1935 Warsaw Olympiad Krumins scored +3-2=5 on reserve board, and at the 1936 Unofficial Munich Olympiad he scored +5-5=6 on 4th board.
