This WGM was Cuban women's champion in 1992, 1997, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2015. Competed in the FIDE Knock-out Women's World Championship (2012), winning her first round match against Georgian IM Bela Khotenashvili, but bowing out of the title contest in the second round when she lost to Ukrainian IM Mariya Muzychuk.
