Reminded me of my time at school. We had Latin, just at the beginning. Well, for those who don't know, Latin words are usually memorized together with their genitive - it makes easier to usem them correctly in terms of grammar. "Friend" is "amicus", genitive "amici", which is usually written as "amicus, i". Well - we have an oral vocabulary test, a public one - that is, the entire class here the answer of the student. One girl, usually a very good learner, has to answer. The teacher (a very stern 82-year-old man, to get a good grade at him was hardly possible - but as a teacher he was superb) asks her what "friend" in Latin is. She answers "amicus, <amicusi>". The teacher is enraged.... But this mistake, <amicusi>, sounds somewhat cute, so it stuck as a nickname for that girl, and she didn't even protest :D

<hears> of course. I should proof-read my messages, especially when submitted by the phone with a high autocorrect danger :D

Thanks. :) To clarify further, Tóth is a variant spelling of Tót, which is the Hungarian term for Slovak; people named Tót or Tóth are Hungarians of Slovakian ancestry.

Both variants are pronounced like the English word 'tote'.
