Jun-18-20  Granny O Doul: I remember being unsure whether that Chess Life article was fictional. Not that the story was implausible, but how come I'd never heard of this guy if he plays with people like Gheorghiu? I don't think I'd seen the name since until just now.

  GrahamClayton: After moving to the United States, Hancu set up Optimal Vision, a company which manufactures high quality photochromic lenses. Moving to Mexico in the 1990s, Hancu set up a manufacturing laboratory. Since the 2000's Optimal Vision has been run by his son Dan Hancu.
