1. Morphy vs Bornemann 1-0321858Morphy Blindfold Simul 8b, ParisC30 King's Gambit Declined

Kibitzer's Corner
Dec-11-14  Joules: Several modern sources suggest Morneman as the surname of one of the eight players facing Morphy in the simultaneous blindfold exhibition in Paris in 1858.

Frederick Milnes Edge, Morphy's manager on that European tour, used the name Bornemann in his 1859 book "Paul Morphy, the Chess Champion: An Account of His Career in America and Europe" (available as a Google book). Other contemporary books and periodicals (c. 1859) also available on-line use the name Bornemann. Otherwise, I could find nothing else about the man.
