  GrahamClayton: Owen also finished =3rd in the 1989 and 1991 USCF Absolute Correspondence Chess Championship. He played sixth board for the USA in the 12th ICCF Olympiad and won the gold medal for his performance on ninth board at the Third North Atlantic Team Tournament. He was a history teacher by profession.
