Mar-20-16  luftforlife: Dr. Shabazz's post to The Chess Drum dated January 27, 2010 features a photograph of Powell and a fulsome encomium by Bertram Scott, dated January 31, 2010, in which he mentions that Powell's eldest daughter, FIDE Candidate Master Melanie Powell-Reece, Esq., who John Powell trained, herself represented Jamaica at the FIDE Olympiads in Dubai 1986, Greece 1988, and Yugoslavia 1990, and was Jamaican Womens' Champion in 1988 and 1989.
