GrahamClayton: Hyman "Rogie" Rogosin (April 15, 1908, New York - March 16, 2004, Laguna Hills California). Finished 20th in the 1953 Hollywood Invitational Tournament. In 1983 Rogosin received a Special Services Award from the US Chess Federation.
Mar-25-13  andrewjsacks: Very nice man. Psychologist. Literally addicted, I'd say, to 5-minute chess in the 1970s. A fine man and promoter of our game, in some ways. His son Donn developed into a strong player in the mid to late 1960s. His other son, Peter, also dabbled in the game.
Mar-25-13  andrewjsacks: It was Donn who was the only one to beat Bobby Fischer in that Hollywood simul in '64. 50 players. Only two draws.
Jan-16-19  Pyrandus: Hyman and Donn Rogosin!
