waddayaplay: Åke Stenborg is from the city of Eskilstuna. He has en elo of 2280 (inactive)
Apr-13-10  Jorgen Nilsson: I have to give an sadly announcement.
Åke Stenborg is dead.
He was a very strong chessplayer from Sweden. I had the pleasure to play against him twice. First time in Correspondence Chess (Team Shampionship, draw.) and second time in Allsvenskan, in the town of Eskilstuna.(Win for me.) It is sad, but true. ( that he died I mean.)He had the capacity to go very long in his Chess-carrier, but along with many others, selected a civilian one instead. I will remember him as a good sportsman and a pioneer for Swedish Chess. Regards, Jörgen
