NOVAG (COMPUTER)
(born 1978, died 2009, 30 years old) Hong Kong

[what is this?]

Peter Auger and Eric Winkler developed a line of hardware-dedicated Novag chess computers (1) and the company later recruited David Kittinger around 1981 to develop some unique software chess-playing designs. In 1978, the program Chess champion Mk I was one of their first programs to run on their chipsets, but there are a few different software personalities which have since been ported to their devices. The company was sold to Solar Wide Industrial in 2009 and continues a line of chess playing computers.
