Apr-28-12  qqdos: Very sad. Does anyone have the score of his "spectacular" game in 1974? against Esteban Canal?

Apr-30-12  qqdos: Many thanks. I will study and hopefully enjoy!
Apr-30-12  qqdos: <Stonehenge> the game was enjoyable and spectacular but sadly Claudio's Queen couldn't make a breakthrough to the WK so poor Claudio had to resign. Not the way he would probably want to be remembered!
Apr-30-12  Prugno: <qqdos> Perhaps not, but it's always interesting to play an exciting game against a living legend, even when you lose.

Just imagine, in 1974 you're a young Candidate Master and on the other side of the board is an old gentleman who in his career has faced opponents such as Capablanca, Tarrasch, Spielmann, Colle, Rubinstein, Nimzowitsch, Tartakower, Bogoljubov, Maroczy, etc. Wouldn't you be a bit in awe?

Apr-30-12  qqdos: I would!
