Grandmaster. Antal won his three GM norms at the 1st Saturday GM tournament in October 2002, the 30th Open Oberwart group A in Austria in July 2008 and at the First Saturday GM Tournament in October 2010. He also scored a GM norm at the 2010 Spice Cup Fall in Texas in November 2010 and won the 2016 Canadian open (ahead of Andrew Peredun who scored 2nd and Gergely Szabo of Romania who took clear 3rd).
