 | | WannaBe: When I was 'studying' backgammon, I bought two of his books. The books then enabled me to 'own' <DrDum>, at least until he starting to 'own' me in chess. |
Jan-09-07 | | Archives: He co-authored a great book on No-Limit Holdem poker tournaments. |
Jan-09-07 | | RookFile: I played chess against him in Harvard Square maybe 5 years ago. He managed to win a tricky ending in blitz. |
Jan-11-07 | | Dr.Lecter: This is messed up! I bought an opening book by this guy that has the same game as above. Even the names are the same. Only, in the book, Robertie places himself as the black, seemingly placing himself as the victor of the game! What's going on? |

Mar-07-11 | | Maatalkko: Didn't he used to post on this site? Or was that someone who just used his name? I can't find any of his posts offhand. |

Jan-25-12 | | bwarnock: <Lobster> - Robertie was death in speed chess - I played him once in a Boylston Chess Club tournament in Boston when I was rated about 1900 (USCF) 4 games per opponent. He won all four games easily - two by wipeout and two were about even positions where he was ahead by at least 1 minute (this was 5-minute chess). The only player I ever saw beat him was Norman Weinstein who was a senior master at the time (same tournament). |
