It lists Crafty as his primary current research interest, so I assume that he is continuing to develop it. The program is up to version 19.19 at least, with the most recent updates coming within the last few months. |

The computer beat Joseph Sentef, the defending champion and at the time Mississippi's only master. Sentef's loss gave the state championship to an expert who refused to play against the computer. |

Your game score indicates Sentef played 30.Bg2??, which allows 30...Nxf6. It seems unlikely that Sentef would have played 30.Bg2??, and Cray Blitz would not have missed taking the queen. Instead of 30.Bg2??, Sentef probably played 30.Qg5, and then the game continuation of 30...Qe7 31.Qg6 is logical. |
