'truth will set u free but before that it will make u befuddled' - Odd Lie |
Dec-13-07 | | DukeAlba: <angslo> I don't think you can really say that there are objective truths here, only relative truths... The truth is what you make it.... Like when I told myself that I was a Duke... Yes <HFlew> you can make this page be whatever you want it to be!.... even if it just ends up being an odd lie... |

Such is the thinking of the simple minded. But it was more a subtle critique of style than a question, no? |

Dec-15-07 | | angslo: <But it was more a subtle critique of style than a question, no?>
critique on Odd Lie page? now that is certainly an oxymoron - or something like that. |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: <Such is the thinking of the simple minded.>
One day , u will know there is a greater truth than thinking mind and that truth will set u free - odd lie |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: <<Such is the thinking of the simple minded.> One day , u will know there is a greater truth than thinking mind and that truth will set u free >

But there are also "unknown unknowns"; there are things we do not know we don't know." Donald Rumsfeld on epistemology. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RpS... |
Dec-15-07 | | DukeAlba: Indeed |
Dec-15-07 | | whiteshark: ...and there are "unknown known knowns", "unknown known unknowns" and my favourite "known unknown unknowns", if you like to quote me. |

wow! Bush knows Zen buddhism :) |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: To mouth Zen buddhism is mere knowledge, but the wisdom is to experience this truth and then this truth will set you free - Odd Lie |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: and rumsfield knows ontology - that is a very famous distinction of ontology : www.landmarkeducation.com |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: warning - ontology requires complex thinking (if u talk ontology , simple minded people will think u r a fool, ask rumsfield, he learnt hard way that simple minded people were not yet ready for ontology) to acquire knowledge.
Zen Buddhism requires wisdom much greater than thinking mind to experience the truth hidden in that acquired knowledge - Odd Lie |
Dec-15-07 | | DukeAlba: <<angslo>To mouth Zen buddhism is mere knowledge, but the wisdom is to experience this truth and then this truth will set you free - Odd Lie> And this truth shall be Nirvana and the embracing of absolute nothingness. Truly our guiding mentor Odd Lie has already achieved this state of Nothingness/Nirvana and we can only hope to follow behind his guiding wisdom... |
Dec-15-07 | | DukeAlba: <<whiteshark>...and there are "unknown known knowns", "unknown known unknowns" and my favourite "known unknown unknowns", if you like to quote me.> It is with great humility that I receive your enlightening knowledge Now however..... I shall go to India in search of sacred texts *gathers belongings and sets off towards the horizon*........Goodbye everyone........ ...... .. . |
Dec-15-07 | | angslo: i hail from India. humility is the first step. now very obviously u have given up ego , u will experience nirvana soon. i am able to give up ego only at times and can experience nothingness only intermittently.
presently i am in usa but am following u to india for nirvana.
good bye everyone:) |

Dec-15-07 | | Ziggurat: <...and there are "unknown known knowns", "unknown known unknowns" and my favourite "known unknown unknowns", if you like to quote me.> That is not true, but it is not false either. Furthermore, it is not both true and false simultaneously, neither is it neither true nor false. |
