WGM Roza Lallemand (née Te) was born in Pyongyang. When she was five, she, along with her father and siblings, emigrated to the USSR. With the demise of the Soviet bloc she began playing in western tournaments, eventually emigrating once again, to France. She was awarded the WGM title in 2000, and was part of the French Women's team that won the 4th Women's European Chess Team Championship at Leon, 2001.
