Regarding Go, it fascinates me because the simplicity of the rules (you can start playing after no more than 10 minutes of explanation) hide an ocean of complexity. Strategically talking it seems to me far more subtle than chess, for it is really hard to know whether you're winning or losing. After a Go game, I see little white and black spots flickering before my eyes... |

Why would he need to? He's been earning an average of around a million USD a year from 1993 to this year from Shogi alone: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshih... He's married to a popular Japanese actress, has enough free time to dabble in chess, even occasionally making GMs look like patzers from those Paul Morphy games. I'd say concentration is not something he's mightily concerned with. |
