Atheists were largely militant about it too. They picked fights with anyone they could to try to evangelize them into atheism. They didn't pretend to be <too busy> or <uninterested> in gods (remember, they like to say gods, not god) to waste their time arguing about them.

Fast forward to 2020 and it's a whole different story!

Atheists have taken such a beating on the highest philosophical levels that they no longer want to be called atheists! They want <OUT> of that bear trap! They'll try anything, including suddenly redefining what atheism means!

Why did this happen?

It happened because Christian philosophers crept into philosophy departments around the world and held the atheist philosopher's feet to the fire. They realized that they couldn't defend atheism, so they pack up their belongings and <moved out>!

The atheists once proudly found themselves on the far left of the spectrum, while theists find themselves on the far right, and in the middle we find those claiming ignorance i.e. agnostics.

What happened is that strong philosophical arguments for theism over the last decade or so have compelled the atheists to make the massive leap from the far left to the center!

An interesting piece that I stumbled upon on Quora.

<It is an interesting question, and I think like with most things it is subjective and dependent on the individual as to what they find beautiful in a woman. Although, there are scientifically proven traits of beauty that men are attracted to, there are also cultural and individual variables which influence our version of what beauty is, or in this case beauty in a woman.

I studied Ukrainian in University, and travelled to Lviv and Kyiv in 2016, and the women were beautiful, but no more beautiful than the women in Italy, or my hometown Melbourne (*note, I’m referring to physical beauty). However, there are some cultural, and social factors as to why Ukrainian women are perceived as the most beautiful women in the world by many, and other non-physical traits which make them beautiful.

Firstly,

Ukrainian women really dress to impress, and place a lot of effort in their appearance. This could largely be due to the shortage of men, women outnumber men by about 15% according to Pew Research. There are also a number or men who struggle with alcoholism, further cutting down womens choices in a partner. This, in my opinion has created a competitive market for a mate, and therefore causes Ukrainian women to flaunt their beauty more, dress very classily, from my experience, and look after themselves better than western women.

Health

Ukrainian women are also very slender, and the food is also expensive. Walking around Australia, especially rural Australia or America and England, large segments of the population are very obese, however, this is not the same for Ukraine. The women, are tall, slender and appear very healthy in general, I think the fact there are very few overweight or obese women in Ukraine, relative to women in western nations, causes the world to perceive Ukrainian women to be more beautiful.

Personality

I found from my travels, that women in Ukraine weren’t afraid to be women, they didn’t feel the need to act like men, like some women do in Australia largely due to third-wave feminism. Secondly, women in Ukraine are very polite and feminine, I was very impressed by how courteous and polite the women were in the Ukraine. It is something you just don’t see as much of in Australia unfortunately, and you won’t see much of it in other western nations.

Those are the three primary reasons I believe people think women are next level beauties in Ukraine, for me personally, its not that they are so much more beautiful than Western women. Its that they look after themselves, are very polite and feminine, and aren’t overweight like large segments of Western society.>
