Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: Thought for the week Sept 28, 2020: There is no excuse for <poor> neighborhoods being dirty!

Change my mind.

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: The libs are in full panic mode. They can see that Trump, in a fair election, has an even better chance of winning in November than he did in 2016, and they've gone off the deep end. Trump is going to appoint another judge to the court and the libs are panic stricken.

What you must understand about the libs is how incredibly important it is to them to be able to sacrifice the <unborn child>. Pagans have always been like this. Thousands of years ago they were sacrificing their children to Molech, burning them alive. Now they tear them limb from limb, the children that would grow to love them, they throw them in the garbage and wipes their lips, saying, "I've done nothing wrong."

To a godly person, this sounds horrific. An abominable sin. Unthinkable. So evil that one can't even look upon it. But to the godless libs, they actually love it, and if you try to stop them from killing the innocent, they will kill you, burn your house down, loot your city and go to war with you.

The libs killing the <unborn child> because they really only care about themselves, despite their cheap talk of empathy and <emotional intelligence>. Libs love to kill the unborn child because it allows them to keep feeding their sexual appetites. No babies to get in the way and slow them down.

A woman that kills her children and thinks, "I did it for my career" is a good excuse, will die one day, oh and that day comes all too soon, and will face the Lord. Women who kill their unborn children for their careers, essentially kill their children for money. Imagine if someone offered to pay you 10 million dollars to kill your kids, would you do it?

Liberal women do it for a lot less than that all the time when they have abortions because it would get in the way of their "careers".

Liberal men love it when their favorite sluts kill their unborn children too, because then they don't have to pay to raise that child and they don't have to sacrifice any of their time to raise the child. This is all about selfishness, but libs don't want to admit that. They try to cast an impartial, impersonal tone, as though they are talking about a mathematical equation, when they discuss their decision to murder their children. It makes them feel good about it.

Anyhow, the libs are going nuts because Trump is going to appoint a judge that they see as a threat to their abortion fun.

They don't just kill the kids. No, that would be too easy. They also sell their body parts for big money. They sell it to "science" so it's okay.

They might as well make alligator shoes out of their children. Imagine that? You could kill your unborn child, but instead of throwing his body in the garbage, you <recycle> it and turn him into a pair of shoes, or maybe some gloves. Something you can wear.

Hey, why waste?

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: Liberalism has at least three strong pillars:

Sodomy
Abortion
Divorce

Liberals are characterized by three common traits:

Wickedness
Gross ignorance
Unchecked arrogance

Liberals hate three things:

God
Their fellow man
Themselves

How can a lib try to hide all of this? By being what they call <nice>. Niceness is a deception that is used to cover up all the ugliness of liberalism. It's hard to see past the niceness into the heart, the dark, filthy, wicked heart of the lib. The unrepentant heart.

What is the cure?

Jesus Christ is the cure. A true Christian would never even think about killing their unborn children. That's because the Lord changes one's heart. One becomes sanctified in time.

The libs will never seek God if they can kill their children in cold blood and say, "I've done nothing wrong". They need to be woken up. They need to be made aware of the evil they are responsible for. They need a moral awakening, and then they will realize they deserve death and judgment. Only then will they repent and then seek the Lord.

Therefore, if you love your fellow man, then you will share the truth with him, so that he may be wiser, so that he may be aware of his evil, so that he might repent, believe the gospel and find ever lasting life. That's what you try to do for him.

If you <hate> your fellow man, you express that hate with apathy. You say, "why should I care what he does if it doesn't effect me?"

You can put that another way: "Live and let live".

Some of these old libs are so close to death's door and they don't even know it. What a tragedy! Death is real.

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: Let the ignorant understand and be wiser: liberalism is a spiritual condition, not a mental disorder.

At some point in life when one decides to harden one's heart toward God, you become a liberal at that very moment. Much like the Christian is, as is sometimes said, "Born again" when he gives his life over to Christ, so one is also "Born again" in a different way, when one hardens his heart against God.

At that very moment you become baptized not in water or fire, but in evil, in lust, in greed and in pride. You become a new creature in pride, in evil. You become your own god, just as Satan so desperately wanted to become his own god.

Whereas when one becomes a Christian, he has the mind of Christ, when one becomes a liberal, he has the mind of evil, which is a mind of lust, greed, pleasure, murder, envy, hate and selfishness.

Liberalism is a spiritual condition, not a mental disorder. Only one who is ignorant of the role of spirituality, ignorant of the role God and the truth, would describe liberalism as a mental disorder.

The godless call evil insanity. They say a person who murders a family in cold blood was obviously insane, when they are not. They are evil. Likewise, a liberal is not mental disordered, they are evil because they have rejected God, and God <is> love, God is kindness, God is <justice>, God is merciful, God is grace itself.

Leaders, radio hosts, bloggers - any of them that refer to liberalism as a mental disorder do not have the foundation necessary to comment insightfully on our culture, society, justice or offer any solutions for the problems that plague our society at this time.

Liberalism renders a fine mind unworthy. It puts the turd in the punch bowl. It puts the legs of an otherwise brilliant mind in a wheelchair.

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: If you haven't read and studied The Republic (Plato) and then Confessions (Augustine), then you are not an educated person. Period.

Period.

As a Christian, you will not understand how Greek pagan philosophy affected the early church fathers and the world's understanding of Christianity. You will not become aware of some of your own assumptions.

But hey, who has time for reading The Republic and or Confessions when there are dreadlocked goons running around on a football field throwing a ball and smacking each other on the asses?

You don't have to be a Christian to read the Republic or Confessions. The Republic is so incredibly relevant to what's happening in America today that it can't be overstated.

Lurking Reader, you are not educated if you allow yourself to remain ignorant of these two written works. You can disagree with me, but you're just wrong.

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: You've heard of Existentialism. You've heard of existentialist philosophers. What is it?

In a nutshell, when philosophers managed to fool themselves into thinking that God does not exist, there arose a new problem: the absurdity of life sans God.

Existentialism seeks to someone wish away that absurdity to the cornfield. It fails to do so, but there are many books filled with nonsense that try to do just that.

The Enlightenment led to atheism. Atheism led to nihilism. Nihilism led to Existentialism.

If you can't explain something simply, it means that you don't really understand it. I've explained these philosophies simply and connected them in a way that even a child can understand. This is because I have understanding regarding these things.

The libs are hopelessly lost in a sea lies and moral relativism. This is why they can't see clearly and think that there is <nuance> where there isn't. They just lack understanding and clarity.

Fundamentally speaking, if your worldview is a lie, then <nuance> is needed to cover for the parts that plain old don't make sense. If your worldview is based on the truth, then as you flesh it out by following the logical consequences implied by your worldview, things become clearer, more black and white and less gray areas.

All knowledge is built upon the truth. Without truth you can have no knowledge. Without knowledge you can have no understanding. Hence, a worldview built upon a lie is not bound by understanding, but is duct taped together by <nuance>.

Sep-28-20  Big Pawn: The Lurking Reader and Elite Poster sees that this page has serious, substantive and insightful posting, offering real value to those who linger long enough to read and digest. You can't get this kind of high quality discourse on the Other Page. Over there all you have is a bunch of people who, when not sticking it up each other's asses, and when not busy killing the <unborn child> or not busy breaking up families, come to the Other Page to say: Orange Man Bad.

There are some posters who prefer that, and we see them over there continuing to feed the trolls. Birds of a feather flock together. They belong over there. But for the Discerning Poster, the Elite Poster, the Curious Lurking Reader, they are welcome to spend their time here as we discuss the Big Questions in life.

Keep in mind that the greatest minds the world has ever seen, people who are still famous today, thousands of years since they've died, famous because of how incredibly brilliant they were - all of these people spent lots of their time discussing the Big Questions in life.

To the regular low IQ person, this seems like foolishness. "What does it accomplish?" they ask. "How does that affect me?" they ask. They say, "I'm not concerned with meaningless bullchit" - and then they go and drape a giant Red Sox banner over their front door, put on big red shirt with some random number and another man's name on it, and sit in front of the Liberal Box (TV) and allow themselves to be programmed into sacrificing their time for meaningless crap.

Middle-aged men who wear these football shirts with numbers and some other man's name on them are on the same level as those who wear a COVD-19 mask in their car alone. The idea of putting another man's name on your body or clothing, it just makes you a cuck.

The cucks in life have no time for the Big Questions.

Sep-29-20  optimal play: <Big Pawn: If you haven't read and studied The Republic (Plato) and then Confessions (Augustine), then you are not an educated person. Period. Period.>

What did you think about Augustine's 'Confessions'?

Why do you consider this work to be so important?

I've read most of Augustine's 'Confessions', as well as parts of 'City of God' and some other bits and pieces. Also parts of Plato's 'Republic'.

<As a Christian, you will not understand how Greek pagan philosophy affected the early church fathers and the world's understanding of Christianity.>

Would you care to elaborate on this?

Reminds me of Greg Halman:

<Gregory Anthony Halman (August 26, 1987 – November 21, 2011) was a Dutch professional baseball outfielder. He played with the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB) during the 2010 and 2011 seasons. He also played internationally with the Dutch national team in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. He died of stab wounds in Rotterdam after the 2011 MLB season. His brother was arrested in connection with the stabbing but was acquitted on the grounds of temporary insanity. >

Sep-29-20  Keyser Soze: Tonight will be the first Biden -Trump debate right?

Let's see how they fare. I predict lots of tears on Rogoff. Heh heh

Conservatives over here are looking forward to see Trump beat that old lib.

Gonna watch and post chat here

Sep-29-20  Keyser Soze: Watch out

https://twitter.com/i/status/131078...

Sep-29-20  Big Pawn: I'm watching a replay of the debate right now and Trump just said to Chris Wallace, "I guess I'm debating you and not him (Biden)"!

BOOM!

Trump is the only alpha male on that stage.

Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Chris Wallace has an enormous ego and thinks this debate is all about him. What a jerk. No one wants to hear what he has to say, they want to hear Trump and Biden.
Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Biden doesn't seem to fully grasp the issues. "Here's 20 billion dollars. St..st...stop tearing down the forest"
Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Chris Wallace keeps talking over Trump but let's Biden do whatever he wants. Is anyone surprised? Trump does a good job countering Biden's lies, but Wallace tries to speak over Trump so that no one can hear him expose the lies. It didn't work. Trump got his points across.
Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Good debate overall. Wallace is a terrible moderator who talks too much but it was a good debate. He's like one of those boxing referees that interfere too much and don't let the fighters fight, but it was still a good debate.

Trump smashed Biden and it wasn't even close, but "undecided" voters are too stupid to realize that. There's a focus group on FOX right now and they're all <undecideds>. Talk about a bunch of idiots. These people have no clue about what it means to be conservative or liberal on the issues. No clue. There's this one guy, black man, who was unhappy with Biden but was also upset that Trump said something about blacks. He said, "The only way I would even consider voting for Trump is if he learned how to remain silent about black issues, because he doesn't know what it's like for me to wake up as a black man every day"

What an idiot.

That's democracy for you. The fate of great nations is in the hands of low IQ idiots.

Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Now there's another "undecided" idiot, an older white guy, and he says that this debate changed how he felt. He said he felt worse about both of them. He was mad that they didn't show each other enough respect.

This guy is IQ 86.

They spent two hours debating real issues and this idiot is making up his mind about who to vote for based on stage etiquette!

He should be embarrassed to be on TV, yapping his big mouth so that the whole world can see what an idiot he is, but no. He probably fancies himself to be enlightened and above the fray of partisan politics.

There couldn't be a bigger difference between Trump and Biden, and these idiots are undecided?

I could understand if they were all very young, say 18-21 years old, and didn't have the experience necessary to get a really good grasp on all the issues and how conservatives and liberals stand on those issues, but these people in this focus group (all undecideds) are middle aged and older.

Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: <Optimal Play>, the books are too long, cover too many areas of thought and are too profound for me to summarize what I think about them. The most concise way for me to summarize is to say what I said, which is if you haven't read The Republic, you're not an educated man. Along with that, you can add Confessions. It's obviously important for Christians if they want to understand the history of the early Christian philosophers, but it's also important for anyone who has an interest in history or philosophy.

The Republic is so profound that one cannot consider himself truly educated unless he's given it a critical reading. It touches on so many things from education to society and culture and much more than just that.

Giving it a quick read doesn't count. One must give it a critical reading.

But who has the time for reading classics like The Republic today, when people spend 8 hours a week watching football?

Sep-30-20  Big Pawn: Auido books are fine in some cases, like if you want to listen to Huckleberry Fin or Brave New World, but for a work like The Republic, it's not a good idea. With a book like that, it's best to read it slowly and allow time for reflection.

I like to read such books maybe just a few pages a day, or in some cases just a chapter, but if it offers opportunities for deep reflection, just a few pages a day. Then I can think about it during the day and allow my brain to make connections on its own time, unforced, naturally. I like to get the full benefit of a book like that and not just read it to say I've read it, or read it like it's an unimportant book that I'm using to pass the time.

OhioChessFan: I think a lot of the alleged undecideds are people who want to think of themselves (or have others view them) as (dramatic chord) "open minded". As if that's the height of intellectualism.
Sep-30-20  optimal play: <Big Pawn> Books I to IX of 'Confessions' is fairly straight forward since it describes his personal journey from paganism to his entry into the Catholic Church.

Books X to XIII are philosophical and reading through them is slow going.

Augustine's examination of the opening verses of Genesis reflect an allegorical view of the creation account.

I've read parts of 'The Republic' but not enough to give an opinion on it.

Does that mean I'm only partially educated?

I don't like audio books. Even reading off a computer screen isn't as enjoyable as a real book.

Sep-30-20  optimal play: I didn't see the debate today but I've watched some of the highlights and read a few commentaries and opinion pieces.

It seems Biden didn't completely implode, which too many on the Right were expecting.

They had set the bar so low that all Sleepy Joe had to do was get through the debate without any major malfunction, which it seems he did, and it would appear that he had scored a victory.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lF...

<Biden passed but completely lacked ‘energy and force’ of a leader>

There's still a couple to go, isn't there?

Sep-30-20  Keyser Soze: I don't think Trump was particularly well yesterday. He wasn't inspired at all. But Biden is so weak that helps him. The most embarrassing moment was about Antifa. Biden got lost there..
